About:Chinese Consulate in Melbourne

My husband and I are cruising from Hong Kong to Singapore and have an 8 hour stop in Sanya.

The cruise does not stop in any other place in China. Is a visa required for Sanya and, if so, how much does it cost?
Also, we will be in Hong Kong 2 days prior to the cruise departure. Do we require a visa to enter Hong Kong?

Tracy, maybe you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit in Snaya. In this case, no entry permit will be required. But you are advised to confirm that with the cruise company. Just to play safe.
Australian passport holders can enjoy free entry to HK for a stay of not more than 90 days, so you don’t need any entry permit for HK.
