Hi, I am going to Shanghai for 5 days. Do I need a visa?

Anna, it’s possible for you to enjoy the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai if you travel like this Australian-HK/Macau-Shanghai-Australian. In this case, you don’t need to apply for an entry permit. Or you can travel like Australia-Shanghai-HK/Macau-Australia. But when you enjoy the free transit in Shanghai, you are only allowed to travel in Shanghai city, Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces.
