What will you do if your Alien Employment Permit was lost or stolen?
I been working in Shenzhen, China for almost 7 years with legal documents like Alien Employment Permit and working visa as well attached to the passport. Our employee who manages the processing/renewal of my visas and employment certificates yearly was terminated from our company. The most serious part , I just know he was terminated after he took with him all my personal documents including my Alien Employment Permit,because he ask it from me because its due for renewal. Now i tried to recover all those documents but his no where to find. I hire another agent to help me get a new AEP declaring my AEP as lost so that I can replace with a new one, but unfortunately when the agent went to the authority for verification we found out that my AEP was not registered under my current company for the last 7 years. In as much as we want to cancel my AEP and officially use my current company, it isn't possible either because we dont know what company name I was registered by the terminated employee. They said it should be cancelled first before registering for another employeer. Please help me how to solve this problem, I need a good and legal advice on this matter. My working Visa is due to expire on October 2016. I am greatful for your advice!
