About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Tránsito in China

I am Peruvian and I'm flying New York to Bali with a layover in China (for 12 hours). As a Peruvian citizen I require a tourist visa if I wanted to stay in China. Can I exit the airport considering I am a direct transit since I'll be staying less than 24 hours?

Joana, because you just stop there for 12 hours, you can make use of the 24 hour direct transit there. In this case, no entry permit is needed. You can just apply for a free temporary stay permit and then you can leave the airport.
