About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Arriving into Shanghai by Air, leaving next day by cruise ship to Tokyo

Hi ...I am arriving at 2200 on Friday Aug 26 by Air and leaving by Cruise ship at 1900 Sat Aug 27.What is the process I need to follow and what forms if any, needs to be completed prior to my arrival into Shanghai. I have spoken to Singapore Airlines (the airline I'm flying) and they have not been able to help me. Thank-you Robert

Robert, you can make use of the 24 hour free transit. You don’t need to do anything in advance. You can just flu into Shanghai and apply for a free temporary stay permit at the airport and then you can use the stay permit to the port to take the ship.
