extension of visa for children after attaining 18 years

Question

My daughter is having residence dependant permit on me. She will be 18 years next month. Will she be able toget extension of 1 month in PRC? She need to be in PRC as she is applying to universityand need to arrange study permit/X type for overseas university.Will she get extension in PRC or does she need to go Hong Kong to reapply for S1 or S2 type?

Dinchina, she can try to apply for an extension, but I cannot tell you sure if it can succeed in the end. If it cannot succeed, she can try to change the S1 type to S2 type. In this case, she can still stay in PRC for some time.
