About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Long Layover in Beijing

Hi, I am traveling from USA to Tokyo, Japan but have a 22 hour layover in Beijing. Will we be eligible for the free 72 hour transit? Do we need to apply for this visa or just provide our airline ticket information?

Brittany, no visa is needed because you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Beijing. You can just provide your airline ticket information and passport when you arrive at the airport to apply for the direct transit.
