About:Urumqi Travel

Is there a way to get to Urumqi from Duanhuang?

I am staying 6 days in Dunhuang and a friend suggested me to divert a couple of days and visit there, how can I get there? Is that something worth doing?

You can take a bus to Liuyuan from Dunhuang Bus Station (about 1.5 hours). Then, take a bullet train to the city (about 5 hours). Also, there are direct flights to the city from Dunhuang on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The trip takes about 1.5 hours.

The city is well worth a visit. There are many places to see, like Heavenly Lake, Tianshan Mountains, and Red Hill. Have fun!
