i am very new to this visa

My friend  want me to go with her in China ,now my question is I stay with her for just 5 days ,how it will works ,what kind or how can I apply for an entry permit,where should  I start ? Or is it needed to have an entry permit?

Airene, if you go there for tourism purpose, a tourist L type is needed. You should first prepare the relevant materials: your passport and its copy, application form, a recently-taken half-length color photo, round trip air tickets and hotel reservation, as well as your financial support proof. Next, go to the embassy of PRC to submit the application and apply for it.
