About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Cruising via China - Can I go on a transit visa?

Hi. I have flights booked LHR>AMS>PVG>DLC on 1st August. I will join a cruise ship the next morning for 2 cruises; DLC>Japan>XMN. XMN>Japan>XMN. I then have flights home that same day that the cruise docks in Xiamen; XMN>CAN>AMS>LHR. I will never be in China for more than 24 hours in one time.

If so, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai.
As for your travel route: DLC>Japan>XMN, XMN>Japan>XMN, XMN>CAN>AMS>LHR, you cannot enjoy the 24 hour direct transit for your first entry to Xiamen, but you can possibly get VOA there. For your second entry to Xiamen, you can use the 24 hour direct transit.
