from train station to pingyao ancient town, is it easy to get a taxi when last train gets

How much should it cost to the ancient city? Do hotels provide a pick up service usually? I am worried about rip off taxi drivers who overcharge tourists at night.

Yes, taxis are still available at that time. The fare may be CNY 10-20 from Main Railway Station; CNY 30 from Gucheng Railway Station. I am afraid that most hotels don't provide pick up service. Just negotiate with the driver about the fare before boarding. Don't worry! :)
