Can I get Chinese visa from Kuala Lumpur though I am in Malaysia as a visitor and I am a USA citizen

I am an American citizen and already in Malaysia as a visit and want to visit China but still don't know if I can get tourist L type entry permit from Kuala Lumpur or not?

Yes, it's possible for you to get it from Kuala Lumpur. You can go to the CVASC office in KL to apply.
