About:Beijing Capital International Airport

I will go from Prague (Czech republic) through Beijing to Shanghai.

In BJ, I have to transfer from T2 to T1.
Do I have to leave the gates area, pick up my luggage and do check-in again on T1?

Yes, you need to leave the restricted area, claim your luggage, and check in again. By the way, the minimum connection time is 120 minutes. There are free shuttle buses from T2 to T1. :)
