About:Transfer in T3 of Beijing Capital Airport

I am arriving on UAL from US and transfer to China Eastern to Kunming at Capital Airport.

I have only carry on luggage. Do I need to go to baggage claim?
Can I get off train at terminal 2 for domestic departures and go through security? Thanks.

You needn't claim your luggage because you just have a piece of carry on luggage.
But you need to take APM train to 2F, T3-C to go through Customs Inspection. Then, you can take the free shuttle bus from T3 to T2. Afterwards, check in and go through Security Check before waiting for boarding. Good luck! :)
