About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Arriving at Pudang Airport and leaving by cruise ship from Baoshan the next day

Can I apply for TWOV at the airport on arrival, even when I leave China by a cruise ship the next day insead of by plane from Pudang Airport? Or do I have to apply for a visa at the Chinese Embassy in The Netherlands?

Gerrit, as long as you will go to a third country or region instead of the last one you fly from after you transit in Shanghai, you can enjoy the free transit in Shanghai. Thus, you don’t need to apply for the entry permit.
