About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Stopover in Shanghai

stopover for 19 hours. From NZ to Czech republic with NZ passport. Can we stay in close by hotel for that time without any additional visa please

Joe, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai, so no additional entry permit is necessary.
You just need to apply for a free temporary stay permit at the airport and then you can leave the airport and stay at a hotel.
