About:How to Choose China Train Ticket Types?

regular train travel cards?

i will have to commute between shanghai and suzhou on a daily basis 3 days a week. is there anyway as a foreigner that i can get my hands on a monthly pass - or a pass that i just swipe and board when i need to rather than having to line up every time i travel?

There is no regular train cards, you have to buy every single way tickets.

In fact you can try the Rail Pass which likes a prepaid card. This pass should support the trip between Shanghai or Shanghai Hongqiao and Suzhou Railway Station(Suzhou North should not work). You can buy it at the rail station.
