About:Bao'en Temple Pagoda

Change China M visa to Z type without leaving Beijing

Hi ...am in Beijing now , I am an Indian , I got offer in Beijing as a S/w Engg, i have visited china with M type now i want to convert my entry permit to Z ... can you tell the formalities of this without return to my home country .

Now only i have extended the M-type for another one month .

Thangadurai, you need to prepare these documents including the application form, a recently-taken passport-sized color photo, your passport, valid temporary residence registration form, alien employment permit and an invitation letter from a duly authorized unit. Your employer will get the least two documents for you.
Afterwards, go to the exit and entry administration of the local PSB to change M type to work Z type.

Richard Thanks for your time .

Y'day I have tried the above process...but not works , they have some other rules . This is applicable for shanghai only not Beijing .

In exit and clearance office only , the officers said you need to out from china and apply z-visa from hong kong or home country . Then you enter here with z-type .

Sometimes not even in Hong Kong because they are limiting the rules to non-residents of HK. You can go and try but can be denied. I will try my home country because of that.
