Not really. Although this tool is largely used, they still use spoon to eat soups and sometimes rice.3

Yes, in some parts. It mostly depends on how you are raised. We use chopsticks for everything but only some people use it to eat soup. Most Chinese eat soup with a small spoon made of china.2
