Visa for Shanghai needed?

Hi i have a nz passport and i am travelling from auckland NZ to Seoul, Korea, then to Shanghai pvg (for 4 days) then Seoul Korea for 2 hour stopover to go back to auckland NZ. Not sure if my stopover in korea will work with the 144 hour free transit?

Hi Hazel, I'm afraid the layover in Seoul on your way back may make you not eligible for the 144-hour free transit. You'd better take a direct flight to NZ or choose to stop over a different country.

Yes. Your problem is that you are going back to the place you came from (In this case, South Korea) and THAT will make you ineligable for the TWoV. If you can change your booking and go via Japan or Thailand, the problem will have fixed itself.
