10hrs lay over in shanghai pudong airport

Hi im a filipina residing here in belgium for 8yrs and im going home on november to the philipines, i have a 10hrs stop over in shanghai pudong airport, me and my friend are planning to do a short sight seeing around shanghai city b4 our final destination, she is holding a belgian passport and i have filipino passport do we need to get a visa for that 10hrs lay over?

Kristine, no, you don’t need to get a visa for that because you two are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit. You can apply fro a free temporary stay permit at the airport and then you are able to leave the airport and go sightseeing in the city.
