Transit Visa with 2 separate tickets

Hi, I am travelling with my family and bought 2 separate online tickets
1. Toronto (Canada) to Beijing & back to Toronto -
2. Beijing to Hyderabad( India) via Kualalumpur & back to Beijing ( via Kualalumpur)

I am reaching Beijing on 30th July -2:40Pm and leaving Beijing on Aug 1st - 01:30Am to Hyderabad(India) via Kualalumpur.
While on my return journey from Hyderabad (India) to Toronto, I am reaching Bejing again on Aug 28th - 00:20Am and leaving bejing to Toronto on Aug 30th - 4:10Pm.

My question is:
1. Are the times within 72 hours free transit?
2. Can I use 72 hour free transit twice while on my journey to Hyderabad(India) and back?
3. Am I eligible to buy separate tickets ( Toronto to Bejing, and Bejing to Hyderabad, India)?
4. For free transit, Can I present the Online ticket version for Bejing to Hyderabad leg and back? I am not sure how to get the printed ticket unless I get to Malaysian Airlines counter in Beijing.
Thanks very much in advance for your help. Any ideas?

1. Ragu, based on what you said, you can travel under the 72 hour free transit.
2. You can use the 72 hour free transit twice.
3. Separate tickets are okay. Don’t worry!

No, you cannot get the 72 hour free transit at the CVASC in advance. You should apply for it after arrival at Beijing airport, It won’t take a long time. Don’t worry.
