About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Visiting a Chinese national

How long does a visa to visit a Chinese national last and how would I need to apply?
I have a friend in another city and would like to extend my stay.

I am currently in PRC with a single entry permit due to expire on September 9th.

Do I need to return to the UK and apply or can it be done while still in PRC?

Phil, how long you can stay depends on the stay duration of your entry permit. I think you can apply for an extension of your current entry permit and you can do it 7 days prior to its expiry date at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB in PRC.
