About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Travelling to a 3rd country before travelling to Beijing, is this OK?

I am travelling from Canada to Japan and stop in Beijing for 72 hours. But I am just wondering could I go to Japan first and go to Beijing after and finally fly back to Canada? Is this also eligible for the 72 hour free transit in Beijing?

Harry, of course, it is okay. If you travel like that, you are eligible for the 72 hour free transit in Beijing.
