I found a story online. It says that when he arrived in China, he had a conversation with the emperor of Yuan Dynasty. He talked much about many countries in Europe except his hometown, Venice. The emperor was confused but he said that if he told anyone else about his hometown, it would not be his own Venice. Hope helpful!
