About:Chinese Consulates in Italy

Can I get the L type visa in Milan, or closer to Venice?

I am working for the US government. I am looking at traveling to Beijing for a weekend on my way to Thailand. I do not have a work permit as the US government has an agreement with the Italian government not needing this but I do have orders.
