About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hello,

I am traveling from Bangkok to Taipei (via Shanghai) on a US passport. I intend to stay for four days in Shanghai and utilizes the 144 hour visa free visit. Does Customs at PVG consider an onward ticket to Taipei as a third country international destination? Additionally, is there a fee associated with the free visit?

Ben, you qualify for the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai because Taiwan is regarded as a third region when it comes to the 144 hour policy. Besides, there is no any fee associated with the free transit. Nice trip!
