short stay visa extension

I recently quit my job in PRC and they converted my z type in to a short stay of 30 days, I was wondering if I could extend this short stay to 60 days?

Mat, it’s possible for you to extend your tourist L type, but I cannot tell you for sure that you can get another 30 days. Anyway, it’s worth a try. You should apply for the extension 7 days earlier before your L type expires.
