About:China Visa on Arrival

My relative who is a Malaysian having an emergency operation in China for appendicitis.

He need to stay another 2 -3 weeks at least in hospital and his Visa is expiring. Where can he extend it in China?

Nckeat, he should extend it at the exit and entry administration of the local public security bureau and he should apply for the extension 7 days prior to the expiry date of his entry permit.
