2 times entry to shanghai

I want to fly from Switzerland to Shanghai and then Japan (one week in Japan), and then fly back to Shanghai and then fly to Switzerland.Can I get twice 144h Visa free in ShangHai?Is it really needed a seat reservation for each flight ?Kind Regards Kurt
