About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

validity query

I want to enter China as a tourist on or about the 31st of July, 2016. I then plan on travelling to Mongolia and returning to PRC about the end of September, 2016.

Does that mean that I have to get a Chinese double entry visa, OR, that I have to get two separate ones?

Am I right in saying that a Chinese entry permit is valid for 3 months, and I must make ALL entries into PRC within those 3 months?

Thank you.

Peter, considering what you said, you need to apply for a double-entry tourist L type for 3 months. And in this case, you do need to make the double entries within those 3 months because your travel to Beijing will be made within 3 months, there is no need to worry.

Cheers for that reply Nick.

I've decided to give China a miss. I'm just fed up with all of the hassle involved in getting a visa. I just don't want the hassle or the stress. I get fed up with different information from different embassies, with reading reports from others that say that their visa application was rejected because their photograph was 1 mm to small/similar, with the absolute nonsense about getting an itinerary in advance and the hassle involved in coming up with fake reservations and cancelled booking.com reservations, with no replies to emails that I've sent, with the lack of up-to-date information on visa centre websites, etc, etc, etc. I was planning on spending money in their country, not stealing from it.

It's a shame, but in the long run, it's not a big deal. Life goes on.
