Hi Borut - very helpful responses to the questions from others.
I'm a US passport holder travelling from HK to Shenzhen from Friday to Sunday. Are you aware of opening/closing hours for the 5 day visa on arrival (VOA) - Shenzhen only - at the Huanggang port? I was hoping to go Friday evening (and saw there is no quota these days), but welcome your thoughts/experiences to see if this is not possible and so Saturday morning is the better option. Thanks!

You can use Huanggang port (border crossing) 24 hours a day (round the clock). There are no limits as far as the opening hours are concerned and there is no quota either. You can depart from Hong Kong toward Huanggang border crossing at any day within the week and at any time within 24 hours. Have a nice visit to Shenzhen.
