About:China Customs Declaration

Will Chinese customs allow me to bring in pumped breastmilk?

I will be traveling to Shanghai from the US (14hr flight) for a 2 month work assignment. I am bringing my infant son with me, and would like to bring around 45-50 ounces of frozen breastmilk with me. I know that US TSA/Security will let me through and onto the plane. Will I run into any trouble getting through customs or security when I arrive in Shanghai?

You can take it, but the amount is only enough for usage during the flight.
Generally speaking, taking 45-50 ounces won't be a problem.
