About:Shantou Attractions

I will be in Shantou for 5 days. My plan is to make a 1-day trip to Chaozhou.

Any interesting places worth visiting in Chaozhou? Would it be sufficient time to visit Chaozhou in 1 day? Which is the better transport to Chaozhou, train or bus? How much is the ticket? Thanks.

During your one-day trip, you can go to see Chaozhou Ancient City, Han Wen Gong Temple, and Fenghuangzhou Park. Actually, if you have enough time, you are advised to spare two days for the city.

You can take a bus to Chaozhou from Bus Passenger Transport Center. The buses are available from 8:00 to 17:00 at hourly intervals. The fare is CNY 17. The trip takes about 1 hour.
Or, you can take a train to Chaozhou. The trains are scheduled at 8:08, 11:32, 12:20, 17:00, and 20:51, and the trip takes about 30 minutes. You need to pay CNY 9.5 for a hard seat; CNY 12.5 for a soft seat; CNY 23.5 for a hard sleeper; CNY 30.5 for a soft sleeper.
