About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 transit visa

hi i am from the Philippines planning to travel to the US via Shanghai. Can i avail of the 144 free transit and be able to visit my daughter in shanghai? thanks

Phel, if you hold Philippines passport, you cannot use the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai because of your nationality. But if you stay there for less than 24 hours, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit and in this way, no entry permit is needed. However, if you want to stay for more than 24 hours, you should apply for a tourist L type or transit G type in advance.
