South African flying to the UK from South Korean residence

Can a South African be eligible for the 72 hour visa if they fly from their residence in South Korea to the UK?

It seems like a simple no, but I know for other visas in China your place of residence affects.

Lisa, it's a pity that you are not eligible. The 72-hour free transit policy is mainly related to the passenger's nationality, not place of residence.

It's okay. I'm from the UK. I was asking for someone else who was misinformed.

Thank you for getting back to me.
