About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

San Fran - Hong Kong - Beijing - San Fran

Hi, if I were to travel from San Francisco on a US passport to Hong Kong, then onto Beijing, then return back to the US from Beijing; would I be eligible to apply for the 72 hour transit visa on arrival to Beijing?
Thanks

Carol, if your layover time in Beijing is less than 72 hours, you are eligible for the 72 hour free transit in Beijing.
