About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Seoul-Beijing-Great Wall-San Fran-24hrs?

Hi, we are traveling from Seoul to Beijing and have a 20 hr layover. We would like to go to check in a hotel for the night and go to the Great Wall (one hour away) early the next morning before our afternoon flight to San Fran.
1) Is that possible?
2) Is it free?
3) Would we need to get our luggage? (We are traveling with 6 young kids

Yes, this is possible. If you're staying in Beijing or even a bit more north to allow you about 1.5 hours to the Beijing Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. You could use the minimum 4 hours and catch your flight. Reserve 1.5 hours to and fro maybe an hour to venture and explore the wall. Of course if you have more time you can adjust this accordingly. Have a driver pick you up at your hotel and take you there (Great Wall) and wait and take you back to the airport.
