About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

Visiting Shanghai city as a transit passenger.

You have very useful information on your website. I am arriving (from Cambodia) at 5 AM and have to take a connecting flight to US at 3:45 PM. I am a US citizen. I was planning to take the maglev train (first train at 6:45?) and walk around the city. My baggage will be booked through to US. Would I have sufficient time to see something? Do I need to start getting back around 1 PM? Or later/earlier? What would you recommend that I can see in that 5-6 hour period? Thanks a lot.

The first maglev train departs at 7:02 from PVG. You may take the train to Longyang Road Station (8 minutes). Then, take metro line 2 to East Nanjing Road Station (about 15 minutes). You can see the Nanjing Road Pedestrian Road, The Bund, Huangpu River, and Oriental Pearl Tower.

You need to reach the airport at least two hours before departure. So you may start at around 13:00. Have a great time! :)
