I am a British uk citizen that will be travelling to Dubai to visit my husband who resides in Dubai (he is british) my husband has an Emirates ID. While I am out visiting my husband in Dubai, he may have to travel to PRC for 4-5 days, work related.  I would like to travel from Dubai to PRC with him. Do I need to apply for an entry permit to travel to PRC in the UK, or can I apply for it in Dubai that would allow me to travel from Dubai to PRC with my husband??.If I have to apply for it in Dubai to travel to PRC - do I need to have an Emirates ID or can I travel from Dubai into PRC on a tourist L type and where do , ??Could someone please give me some clear advice on this as I am fed up being passed from pillar to post regarding this and still no further forward

Tania, you need to apply for a visa to travel to PRC and you can apply for a tourist L type at the CVASC in UK or at the consulate general of PRC in Dubai. You are advised to apply for a 2-year multiple-entry tourist L type in UK because it costs the same no matter how many entries you apply for. The first step is to prepare your passport and its photocopy, the completed application form affixed with a passport-style photo, the downloaded and signed declaration, as well as hotel booking record and round trip air tickets. And then submit your application to the CVASC to apply for Chinese tourist L type.
