canada to delhi via beijing to avail 72 hrs visa free transit at beijing

Question

On way to Delhi, I want to avail 72 -Hrs-Free- Transit. If my flight arrives at Beijing on Monday 3.30pm. My stay will be  Mon 3.30- Tues - Wed- Thu 3.30 pm = 72hrs. If I enter in  Airport on Thu before 3.30 pm & Dept of my flight to Delhi is only at 8.30 pm thus 5 hrs more stay at airport I will be allowed or not ? Amrik RattanVancouver, Canada

Hi there! According what I heard recently, the 72-hour free-stay period counts from the midnight after your arrival as well, so I think your schedule is fine and you don't have to enter the airport before 3:30pm on Thu. You can confirm this with Beijing Immigration.
