12 hour stopover in hong kong

I am travelling to Australia from Beijing, stopover in HK for 12 hours - what is a good way to spend time. I am travelling alone for the first time in many many years and have a bad sense of direction.

Upon arrival, you can take the airport express to HK station, where there are many shopping malls and restaurants nearby. You can go shopping, or enjoy some delicious local food and snacks. After, still take the airport express back. You can buy a same day return pass to save money. Just remember to get back to the airport on time.
