Enough time to transfer in Pudong Airport?

Hello,
I am flying from Xi'an to PVG on China Eastern (MU) and then flying from PVG to Detroit, MI USA. However, I had to purchase the tickets separately.
Therefore, I must pick up my luggage from baggage claim, check in, security and customs, etc. and I only have 2 hours. I am a bit nervous about making the international flight. Any advice?
