Travelling from Sydney to Nepal transiting at Guangzhou

Hi , I am Australian resident with Nepalese passport travelling to Nepal via Guangzhou airport. However, I have a transit of around 13 hrs. I was wondering if it's possible to get out of the airport. If I am eligible, are there any requirements.

John, according to what you said, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit in Guangzhou Airport. If you want to leave the airport, you need to apply for a temporary stay permit at the airport immigration office and it’s free of charge. There is no special requirement. You just need to take your passport and onward air ticket.
