About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

USA-Hong Kong

We are traveling Mexico- US to Hong Kong, can we fly from Hong Kong to Shanghai (different ticket) and back to Hong Kong under this 72-hour policy?

Armando, if so, you cannot make use of the 72 hour free transit because after stopping in Shanghai, you fly back to HK. But according to the policy, you should fly to a third country or region rather than HK.
