Am I eligible for the 144-hour Visa Exemption

I am taking a cruise from Toronto, Canada (boarding the ship in Singapore) which ends in Shanghai where I have hotel reservation for 2 nights.
I also have a confirmed return flight back to Toronto, Canada, with a transit of 5 hours in Hong Kong (am not going out of the airport in HK).
