About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Two cities in China by using the 144 hour visa free transit

Hello, I have a question. I have an American Passport and am hoping to fly from Bangkok to Shanghai using the 76-144 hour free transit option. Within that time would it be possible to also fly to Guangzhou? and then fly back to the USA? or am i only limited to one of the cities?

When using the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai, you are not allowed to fly to Guangzhou. You are only allowed to travel around Shanghai, Zhejiang and Jiangsu.
