About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visit to Shanghai for the F1 gp

I am planning to fly Moscow to Shanghai on Thursday 14 April and then Shanghai to Moscow on Monday 18 April to watch the Chinese F1 GP. Can I use the 144 hour visa exemption?

Peter, you cannot use the 144 hour free transit because according to the policy, you should fly to a third country or region after you transit in a Chinese city, but you fly back to Moscow after your stopover in Shanghai. So you should apply for a tourist L type in advance of your trip.
