About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Manila to Guangzhou and Guangzhou to Hong Kong

Hi, I am a Portuguese citizen and I plan to travel From Manila to Guangzhou with one ticket (airline A) and then Guangzhou to Hong Kong with another separate ticket (airline B), given I have 2 separate tickets with different airlines am I still eligible to have the 72h visa-free transit?

And in case this is possible do I need to ask the airline to inform in advance to Guangzhou immigration?

thanks
Lara

Lara, you still qualify for the 72 hour free transit. Two different air tickets are fine! Don’t worry!
