144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

My journey involves London - Hong Kong where we will stay for 4 nights and then Hong Kong to Shanghai where we arrive at 4.00pm on 26th May and stay for 5 nights and then we depart to London on 1st June at 00.40. Can you tell me if this qualifies for the 144-Hour Visa-Free Transit.
Thank you.

Hi Mark,

The 144-hour free stay period does not start until 00:00 of the day following passengers’ arrival. That is to say, the allowed time of your free visa starts from 00:00 on 27th May to 00:40 1st June. It is within the 144 hours. You are qualified for the 144-hour visa-free.
